Basic Alcohol Stove - Dual Burners A "must have" for emergencies. The burners can be used separately or placed side by side to form a large single stove. The Basic Alcohol Stove cooks with inexpensive 70% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol, that can be purchased just about anywhere. It is ideal for camping, picnics, emergencies, etc. You can also burn Fire Starter Sticks, Esbit solid fuel tabs, Sterno canned heat (gel), or twigs, if that's all you have. Cook in a can, a pan, aluminum foil or ziplock plastic bags. Many items can be cooked using only 1 tablespoon of alcohol. If your tired of eating expensive MREs or dehydrated camping foods that require hot water, we have a solution. Now you can cook your favorite canned foods like chili, beef stew, baked beans, beenie weenies etc., in a microwavesafe ziplock bag or right in the can without burning your food. You can eat right out of the bag or can, and when your finished eating there is no mess to clean. As an added bonus you can also "Stack Cook". This cooking method allows you to stack two MREs, or two ziplock bags of food on top of each other. Since heat rises we take advantage of the heat that would usually be waste heat and use it to cook the second item. It's like getting a two burner stove for the price of one. If you don't like to carry liquid fuel, this unit wil also burn fuel pads. One tablespoon of fuel can be stored in a paper towel, folded to a one inch square and kept in a plastic bag. Even easier to make are fuel pads of triple size cotton balls. Nothing to measure, no spills and no leaks. One triple size cotton ball is included in the package. The fuel pads with 70% alcohol have been tested for cold weather by keeping them in the freezer, with the fuel container. The fuel pad was removed from the freezer and lit immediately with one match. Recent disasters have shown that clean water may be difficult to find. Our method of cooking eliminates cleanup allowing the water to be saved for drinking. The stove consists of a fuel container and a windscreen/support stand. The support stand is spring loaded and can be stored flat, or folded into a 1" cube when not in use and is only 2 1/2" high when cooking.
